After recovering from a serious illness - by refusing to believe the doctor who told me I’d be sick for a year - I knew in every fiber of my being that what we say and what we think create how and who we are. By affirming positive and healthy thoughts, I could literally shift how I felt. By the time I’d regained my health, I was ready to build something that would touch the lives of hundreds of thousands of people I would never meet. On Valentine’s Day 2005 Affirmagy was born.
Affirmagy literally wraps people in Love, Inspiration, Hope, Peace, and Abundance by putting these life-affirming themes on cuddly personal-sized blankets called Affirmawraps. Why? Because I believe in the power of words to encourage, enrich and inspire.
Initial reactions to Affirmawraps came in the form of tear-inducing letters from our customers telling us how much they love wrapping themselves - and the people they treasure most - in the qualities we all desire. It’s this inspiration that fueled my decision to follow my heart and make the ‘crazy’ decision to close a profitable design business so I could fully commit to Affirmagy. I never looked back. Today, people are enjoying Affirmawraps worldwide - from Canada to Australia, Great Britain to South Africa - and of course, all across the United States.
